As usual, when Tet and spring arrive, ships of Naval Region 2 Command set sail, carrying the affection of the mainland to officers and soldiers performing duties at the DK1 offshore platforms, on-duty vessels, agencies, and armed forces in the Con Dao special administrative zone. This is not only an annual activity but also vivid evidence of the profound concern of the Party, the State, the Army, and the people nationwide for the soldiers stationed at the frontline of the sea.

In the final days of the year 2025, at the port of Brigade 125 under Naval Region 2 Command in Long Son Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, the atmosphere becomes more bustling and urgent than ever. Hundreds of officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 are busy transporting, packing, and arranging goods into the ship's holds.

Captain Pham Van Quy of Truong Sa 01 Ship shared: “Ensuring the safety of officers, soldiers, and journalists when traveling to the offshore platforms is always our top priority. At the same time, preparations of equipment and supplies for the Tet gift voyages are carried out carefully, to fully convey the affection, care, and love of people nationwide to the soldiers working at the DK1 offshore platforms, in the Con Dao special administrative zone, as well as to the forces of Ho Chi Minh City on duty”.

With the spirit of “All for our homeland’s seas and islands”, although setting sail at a time of rough seas, high waves, and strong winds, nothing can stop the journey.

“With the affection of people nationwide for the officers and soldiers performing duties at sea, on the occasion of Tet and spring, this truly becomes a tremendous source of spiritual encouragement. These sincere sentiments not only bring warmth and closeness but also reflect the deep concern of the mainland for those on duty at the frontline of the sea", Colonel Do Hong Duyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2, said.

For naval soldiers, islands are home, and the sea is their homeland. The Tet gifts and spring letters from the mainland not only carry the flavor of Tet but also add motivation for officers and soldiers at the DK1 offshore platforms, on-duty vessels, and in the Con Dao special administrative zone to remain steadfast at the frontline, firmly hold their weapons, excellently fulfill their missions, and firmly safeguard the sacred maritime sovereignty of the Fatherland.
