Urgent measures to address flooding in Phan Dinh Phung Ward

Recently, the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee convened a meeting to reach a consensus on the urgent implementation of solutions to address flooding in the Phan Dinh Phung Ward area.

Implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, in December 2025, the province will focus on clearing technical corridors, dredging canals, streams, and drainage culverts, as well as renovating and repairing various items. The collection, transportation, and treatment of garbage and sludge will be carried out in accordance with regulations.

During the 2026–2030 period, the province will mobilize resources to invest in a comprehensive drainage system for the central area, including concretizing canals and streams, upgrading main drainage pipelines, and constructing parks in conjunction with regulating lakes and resettlement areas.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Linh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, requested Phan Dinh Phung Ward to step up communication and mobilization efforts to encourage residents to voluntarily dismantle violating structures, focus on clearing technical corridors, and hand over cleared sites to serve construction activities.

He assigned the Department of Construction to urgently complete procedures to commence construction before December 20 and to complete all dredging work before the Lunar New Year.
