With the participation of more than 800 students, nearly 50 percent of whom are from ethnic minority groups, the event served as an open forum for ethnic minority students to engage in dialogue, share experiences, and exchange views on the roles of the family, mothers, and teachers in nurturing and promoting gender equality, as well as in creating learning opportunities for girls in disadvantaged areas. As part of the program, the exhibition “Speak Up to Shine” offered a visual space where the stories, concerns, aspirations, and initiatives of young people were vividly expressed through language and visual design. Each work reflected the perspectives of the students themselves - young people living, studying, and directly experiencing gender issues in education, culture, and everyday life. The exhibition also featured an interactive area where visitors could share their views and convey messages on gender equality through the activity titled “Igniting Action.”
