First industrial cluster in Phu Luong kicks off construction

On April 15, Thang Long Thai Nguyen Urban Development and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Phu Luong District, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Yen Lac Industrial Cluster in Yen Lac Commune. Mr. Nguyen Linh, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, attended the event.

The groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start of construction for the Yen Lac Industrial Cluster.

Yen Lac is the first industrial cluster to be established in Phu Luong District, under Decision No. 1586, issued by the Provincial People’s Committee on May 19, 2021. The project has a total investment capital of VND 265 billion, covering an area of 25.6 hectares. 
To implement Phase 1 of the project, Yen Lac Commune has actively engaged in community outreach and mobilization, successfully encouraging 110 affected households to hand over their land and assets for site clearance voluntarily.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Linh emphasized the importance of the Yen Lac Industrial Cluster in promoting sustainable industrial development in the region.

According to the investor, the construction of the Yen Lac Industrial Cluster is expected to be completed within 18 months from the groundbreaking date. Once operational, the cluster will prioritize attracting clean industries and modern technologies, including wood processing, textiles and garments, and leather and footwear manufacturing.
