Finalizing the proposal for Yen Binh Concentrated Information Technology Zone

On April 9, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen Province chaired a conference to implement and finalize the proposal documents for the Yen Binh Concentrated Information Technology Zone.

The conference was co-chaired by Chairman Nguyen Huy Dung and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh.

In his remarks at the conference, Chairman Nguyen Huy Dung emphasized that to support Thai Nguyen Province and the country as a whole in realizing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, issued by the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, the establishment and operation of the Yen Binh Concentrated IT Zone holds great significance. It is expected to attract investment, foster innovation, and drive the province's digital transformation.

The Chairman directed the formation of a dedicated task force to focus solely on developing this proposal. He assigned the Department of Science and Technology to lead the effort in coordination with the Department of Finance, the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority, and the University of Information and Communication Technology. The proposal must distinguish the concentrated IT zone from traditional industrial zones, especially in independent state management, without relying on external consultants or partners.

The proposal will also focus on addressing key objectives, specifically establishing the zone as a hub that attracts top experts in innovation and enables feasible investments in sectors such as semiconductors, UAVs, robotics, software, digital content, graphic design, and digital arts.
