Nui Phao Mining recognized in the top 100 gold star awards 2024

December 24, 2024 – Nui Phao Mining Company Limited (Nui Phao Mining), a subsidiary of Masan High-Tech Materials, is proud to be honored in the Top 100 Vietnam Gold Star at the 2024 Vietnam Gold Star Awards Ceremony. The event was organized by the Central Vietnam Youth Union, and the Central Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association. This is the 4th time Nui Phao has been awarded this award.

In 2024, Nui Phao Mining maintained stability and sustainability in its operations, harnessing the vast potential of the mining industry despite global economic and social challenges. With the tax contribution of VND 1,229 billion, the company continues to the leading flag among Thai Nguyen businesses in terms of budget contributions.

Nui Phao is also actively advancing recycling initiatives, focusing on secondary tungsten supply and tailings recycling, with a goal of recycling 90% of its waste ore. The company processes thousands of tons of deep-processed tungsten annually, supporting clean energy sectors such as wind turbines and electric vehicle batteries, while positioning Vietnam as a strategic global supplier of tungsten.

Nui Phao spearheads sustainability and ESG practices through a circular economy model, emphasizing recycling, green product development, and resource optimization. The company adheres to ISO 14001:2015 standards and implements the 3Rs model “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, achieving exceptional results, including the recycling of 7.8 million cubic meters of wastewater and a waste recycling rate exceeding 80%. Furthermore, the company’s energy-saving initiatives have reduced CO2eq emissions by 973.4 tons and contributed to greening 63.9 hectares of waste piles with over 2,000 trees. These efforts significantly reduce carbon emissions and support Vietnam’s green industrial revolution.

In 2024, the Company made significant contributions to the neighboring communes of Tan Linh and Phuc Linh, supporting their efforts to meet infrastructure and environmental criteria for achieving advanced new rural commune. Furthermore, in response to Typhoon Yagi, the company swiftly mobilized emergency relief efforts, donating 1,000 essential product packages from Masan Group to assist households severely impacted by Typhoon No. 3 and the historic flooding. The total value of the relief efforts for the residents of Dai Tu district and Thai Nguyen province exceeded VND 300 million.
