Attracting investment for circular economy projects in Thai Nguyen’s industrial zones

During a visit to South Korea from November 25 to 29, on November 26, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen Province, Nguyen Huy Dung, chaired a seminar on Digital and Green Technology Cooperation with South Korean partners and witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement to attract foreign investment in the circular economy sector between the Department of Planning and Investment of Thai Nguyen Province and Samsung E&A.

Representatives from the Department of Planning and Investment of Thai Nguyen and Samsung E&A signed a cooperation agreement on the circular economy.

Thai Nguyen aims to build a sustainable circular economy ecosystem, targeting the goal of Net Zero. In the short term, the province seeks to attract advanced projects related to recycling technology, waste treatment, and renewable energy to improve production efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Samsung E&A will research and propose green economic development models to help Thai Nguyen achieve sustainable growth, protect the environment, and enhance the quality of life for its residents. In 2024 and 2025, Samsung E&A is expected to invest in circular economy projects in the industrial zones of Thai Nguyen Province.
