On October 26, joy overflowed at the Vai Thai learning point of Yen Son Kindergarten in Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province, as a brand-new, well-equipped classroom was officially inaugurated. This project was made possible through the combined efforts of Education and Times newspaper, Nui Phao Mining, and other local businesses and compassionate donors.

Spanning 70 square meters, this new classroom is built to be sturdy and welcoming, complete with an attached restroom. It replaces the previous makeshift-roofed learning corner that had deteriorated over time, creating a safer and more inspiring environment for the minors to learn and grow. This upgraded facility marks a step forward in providing indigenous children and teachers with a secure, supportive space for education.

Ms. Trieu Thi Hieu, Principal of Yen Son Kindergarten, shared her heartfelt gratitude: “For both our students and teachers, each gesture of support brings enormous encouragement. With the new classroom, our children no longer have to sit in the cold, but can now learn and play in a bright and safe space. We will keep working to make this learning point a place of inspiration, where every child is excited to come to school each day”.

This initiative underscores Nui Phao’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the lives and educational opportunities of children in underserved areas, especially those from ethnic minority communities. Through these projects, Nui Phao Mining aims to empower a new generation with resilience and the foundations for brighter futures.

Situated in the border commune of Yen Son, the Vai Thai learning point serves 45 students from the Hmong and Dao ethnic groups. Facing difficult economic conditions, all families in this community fall within the poor or near-poor classifications, and limited transportation infrastructure adds further challenges to the children's journey to school.

Nui Phao Mining has long prioritized initiatives and programs that benefit children – the nation’s future. Through these programs, Nui Phao upholds its social responsibility and commitment to sustainable development, as well as a hopeful and stronger tomorrow for the communities.
