General Secretary of the Mongolian People's Party discusses cooperation opportunities with leaders of Thai Nguyen province

During two days (September 30 and October 1), at the invitation of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, General Secretary, President To Lam and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation paid a State visit to Mongolia. The representatives of Thai Nguyen province include Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, The Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

During the working trip, on October 1, Secretary General of the Mongolian People's Party Sodbaatar Yangug spent time privately receiving leaders of Thai Nguyen province. The Secretary General of the Mongolian People's Party and the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee spent time introducing and discussing the potential, strengths, and opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the fields of Agriculture, scientific research, healthcare, education and mineral exploitation and processing. In fact, collaboration between the two sides is present in Thai Nguyen province in the fields of education training and agriculture. Specifically in the field of education and training, Thai Nguyen University has cooperated with the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia and the National University of Agriculture of Mongolia, in which a number of activities have been implemented, such as Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry signed a memorandum of understanding with Ulan Bator University since November 2019; universities in Thai Nguyen province have policies to support training scholarships for Mongolian international students.

Two sides exchanged and discussed the content of strengthening cooperation.

The Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee Trinh Viet Hung affirmed that Thai Nguyen Province is capable and eager to strengthen cooperation with Mongolia in areas of mutual interest, especially in exchanging animal husbandry and veterinary technologies, adopting grazing, breeding and development technologies for Mongolian horses, goats and sheep and processing products using Mongolian technological processes. Thai Nguyen province wishes to exchange and expand cooperation with Mongolia in technology transfer and scientific research to serve the socio-economic development of both sides. It is an area with great potential and has proven effective in practical cooperation in Thai Nguyen province.

General Secretary of the Mongolian People's Party Sodbaatar Yangug and Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee Trinh Viet Hung agreed that the contents discussed and the desire to strengthen cooperation. Both sides agreed to continue directing relevant agencies and units of each side to connect and realise cooperation content to promote socio-economic development while contributing to strengthening the traditionally good relations and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Mongolia.
