Thai Nguyen approves 4 new FDI projects 

In August 2024, the province issued new business registrations for 134 enterprises with a registered capital of 740 billion VND, approved changes for 302 enterprises, and granted establishment permits for 71 subordinate units.

In total, for the first 8 months of 2024, the province issued new business registrations for 742 enterprises with a registered capital of 6.345 trillion VND, approved changes for 1,436 enterprises, and granted establishment permits for 466 subordinate units. Additionally, 98 enterprises were dissolved, and 333 enterprises resumed operations. To date, the province has 10,463 enterprises with a total registered capital of over 150.647 trillion VND.

Recently, Thai Nguyen has been actively attracting domestic investment for off-budget projects. For the first 8 months of 2024, the province issued investment decisions and approved investors for 10 projects with a total capital of over 1.258 trillion VND; approved 19 projects with a total capital of over 13.453 trillion VND; issued investment registration certificates for 9 projects with a capital of over 4.988 trillion VND; and adjusted capital increases for 3 projects with a capital of over 1.004 trillion VND.

As of now, there are 908 off-budget projects utilizing domestic investment with a registered capital of 196.243 trillion VND.

Regarding FDI attraction, in August 2024, the province approved 4 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of 7.67 million USD and 1 project with a capital increase of 0.8 million USD.

For the first 8 months of 2024, the province has 18 new FDI projects with a total registered capital of 499.7 million USD and 14 projects with capital increases. 

To date, there are 215 active FDI projects in the province with a total registered capital of 10.79 billion USD.
