Applying synchronous processes, using rationally, saving input materials and effectively using natural resources, green agriculture is considered an inevitable trend of the times. In Thai Nguyen, green agriculture has also been of interest for the past 5 years, including a number of effective models. However, to develop green agriculture, the province still needs to overcome many obstacles.

One of the typical examples of "famous" green agricultural production in Thai Nguyen is the Green Livestock Cooperative which is located in Pha residential group, Luong Son ward (Song Cong city). After 7 years of operation, the Cooperative has affirmed its effectiveness in clean, green production by successfully creating a closed pig and chicken farming model in the direction of biological safety (from breeding to care and slaughter), growing high-quality vegetables and fruits in greenhouses (about 1,500m2). Not only proactively controlling inputs such as breeding animals and animal feed to create safe products, the cooperative also has its own waste treatment area to avoid odors, protect human health and the surrounding environment. Waste from livestock farming is collected and treated by the cooperative to serve the purpose of growing green vegetables in greenhouses, bringing practical results.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ngu, Director of the Cooperative, said: Every year, we bring to the market more than 1,000 pigs, over 6,000 commercial chickens that meet VietGAP standards and 10 tons of clean vegetables and fruits. What I am most satisfied with is that all the products of the Cooperative are produced and consumed. In recent years, although the prices of pork, chicken and green vegetables on the market have dropped deeply, our products have remained stable and have tended to increase.

From reality, green agriculture is aiming to improve the competitiveness of agricultural products. At the same time, developing technology to process and reuse waste and by-products, helping farmers have a better quality of life, stabilize the economy, protect resources and the agricultural ecosystem.

Mr. Vu Duc Hao, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said: Green agriculture brings many economic and social benefits when reducing emissions and the impact of toxic chemicals; restoring and improving land; creating clean products that are safe for consumers' health.

Obviously, Thai Nguyen has many advantages and potentials to develop green agriculture. Currently, the province has 60 hectares of tea certified as organic according to TCVN 11041 standards; and has built a concentrated cinnamon growing area of 4,000 hectares. From now until the end of 2025, the province strives to have about 200 hectares of certified organic tea; by 2030, it strives to have 10,000 hectares of cinnamon concentrated in Dinh Hoa and Vo Nhai.

To achieve the goal of green growth, propaganda and raising people's awareness of green agriculture is considered by Thai Nguyen as both an immediate and long-term solution. Along with that, the province continues to increase the economic value on the same unit of cultivated land area; introduce, promote, and propagate to replicate clean and green agricultural production models. In addition, the province will organize training, coaching, and transfer of science and technology in the direction of hand-holding and instructing farmers in developing green agriculture...
