Thai Nguyen put out welcome mate for Taiwanese investors

On the afternoon of August 2, Mr Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received and worked with the delegation from the World Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce (China) led by Mr. Steven Lee, Chairman of the Chamber, who came to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in Thai Nguyen.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, provided an overview of the province's socio-economic development in recent years, particularly its potential and strengths in attracting investment. To date, Thai Nguyen has attracted over 210 FDI projects with a total registered capital of nearly USD 11.2 billion. The province has planned 11 industrial zones, 1 concentrated information technology zone, and 41 industrial clusters, covering a total area of over 6,300 hectares.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed the province's desire to welcome Taiwanese businesses to invest in Thai Nguyen and affirmed that the province will continue to implement preferential investment mechanisms and policies within the legal framework. The province will proactively grasp the difficulties and obstacles faced by investors to timely resolve and eliminate them.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Steven Lee thanked the province for the warm reception and provided an overview of Taiwan's potential and strengths. Mr. Steven Lee expressed admiration for Thai Nguyen's socio-economic development and invited provincial leaders to visit Taiwan for practical tours and exchange experiences in investment cooperation, especially in the field of electronic equipment manufacturing.
