Thai Nguyen export value ranks 4th nationwide

According to the announcement by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, Thai Nguyen is among the country's top four provinces and cities in export value for the first seven months of 2024.

Leading the rankings is Ho Chi Minh City with nearly 26 billion USD in export value, followed by Bac Ninh at 22.5 billion USD, Binh Duong at 19.28 billion USD, Thai Nguyen at 17.7 billion USD, Hai Phong at 16.8 billion USD, Bac Giang at 16 billion USD, Dong Nai at 13.4 billion USD, and Hanoi at 10.6 billion USD.

With an export value of 17.7 billion USD, Thai Nguyen's export value increased by 12.8 percent compared to the same period last year and reached 60.1 percent of the 2024 annual plan. Specifically, local exports amounted to 403.4 million USD; exports from the foreign-invested economic sector reached 17.2 billion USD (accounting for 97.7 percent of the total export value). 

Key items with high export values over the first seven months of 2024 include phones and tablets, paper and paper products, transport parts, and textile products.

Currently, the provincial People's Committee is directing localities to expedite compensation and land clearance for new industrial zones and clusters, especially for the Song Cong 2 Industrial Park - Phase 2, enhancing investment attraction, focusing on strategic investors and high-tech investments.. It is the basis for Thai Nguyen to finish the 2024 export plan.
