Promoting digitalisation in agriculture 

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang at a May 14 specialised conference on promoting digitalisation in agriculture. The conference was broadcast online from Ha Noi to 63 provinces and cities in the country. 

Mr Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the conference at the Thai Nguyen bridge point.

In recent times, the digitalization and application of information technology and digital technology to enhance the value of the digital economy in the agricultural sector have been widely implemented across the country. Alongside the achieved results, the digitalization effort in agriculture is facing numerous barriers and challenges.

At the conference, delegates and experts assessed the current situation and chenglleges in the digitalization in agriculture; exchanged and shared experiences, practical models, and proposed solutions for agricultural digitalization.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang acknowledged and commended the efforts in promoting the digitalization in agriculture. He requested that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, along with the provinces and cities, continue to reform administrative procedures; build digital infrastructure, integrate information systems, and ensure synchronization from the central to local levels. Besides, the units collaborate with leading enterprises to bring information technology closer to farmers. 

Thai Nguyen agricultural sector has coordinated with relevant levels and departments to intensify digitalization in the production and processing of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products.
