On January 17, Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee and Saigon Telecommunication Technology Corporation (Saigontel) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for green growth cooperation in Thai Nguyen Province.

The event was attended by Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Nguyen Cam Phuong, General Director of Saigontel; Mr. Robert Cresante, Member of the Forbes Business Council, in charge of semiconductor and nanoelectronics programs at the U.S. Department of Commerce; Mr. David Lewis, President and CEO of ECV - a partner of Saigontel.

Speaking at the program, Saigontel's leadership reported and proposed collaboration on assessing the current waste situation, thereby suggesting solutions and a roadmap to achieve a net-zero emission standard suitable for the province's actual situation. Saigontel's partners also shared strategies for waste reduction in the energy sector, green financing sources, carbon credits, and current transaction methods...
According to the content of the Memorandum of Understanding, during the 2023-2030 period, the Provincial People's Committee of Thai Nguyen and Saigontel will collaborate on researching and analyzing opportunities to reduce emissions in the province, as well as technologies and pathways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Saigontel and consulting partners will assist the province in formulating policies, implementing emission reduction plans, attracting green financial sources, prioritizing developing renewable energy sources, and developing new emission-free technologies.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman Le Quang Tien, requested Saigontel's support in formulating policies, implementing emission reduction plans, and attracting green financial sources from foreign investors and multinational corporations.
