Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee dialogues with farmers: Many issues addressed immediately 

On November 28, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over a dialogue conference with over 200 officials, cooperative members, and farmers representing the agricultural force across the province. It is the first time the province has organized a dialogue conference between the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and officials, cooperative members, and farmers.

At the conference, 20 opinions and proposals from farmers and cooperatives were sent to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, focusing on various issues such as mechanisms and policies supporting farmers in developing production, building product brands, establishing agricultural raw material regions, linking production along the value chain, and digital transformation in agriculture; land use conversion, especially for cooperatives and businesses in community tourism; efficient land recovery and use in agricultural and forestry areas...

With an open-minded spirit, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments, branches, and localities directly exchanged views on some issues, resolving difficulties and obstacles faced by members and farmers. For matters within their jurisdiction, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and agencies to resolve them immediately, as soon as possible, or clearly state the time and progress of handling for farmers to invest in production and business with peace of mind.

Chairman Trinh Viet Hung acknowledged the democratic, open, and straightforward spirit of the officials and farmer members participating in the dialogue. Emphasizing the frequently mentioned content of building product brands, he stated that agricultural products of farmers and cooperatives would not realize their value if not infused with a commercial spirit, not transformed into commercial products or services. To achieve this, farmers must gradually shift their mindset from pure farmers to knowledgeable farmers with retail and service-oriented thinking, understanding the market to turn local characteristic goods into valuable products.

Chairman Trinh Viet Hung also expressed the hope that officials and farmer members will continue to accompany the government at all levels to successfully implement the province's economic and social development goals in the coming period. On this occasion, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung presented 12 gifts to 12 outstanding farmers who have significantly contributed to the development of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas in the province from 2013 to 2023.
