Thai Nguyen's IIP in October is estimated to increase by 5.79 percent 

According to information from the Provincial Statistics Department, the industrial production situation in the province in October 2023 continues to achieve positive results. Specifically, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 5.79 percent over the previous month and by 6 percent over the same period last year. 

For the first 10 months of 2023, Thai Nguyen's IIP is estimated to increase by 4.54 percent over the same period. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 4.61 percent; electricity production and distribution increased by 4.42 percent; Water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 6.84 percent. The mining sector alone decreased by 3.93 percent. 

In terms of each industrial product, a number of products have showed a significant increase in output since the beginning of the year, including: mined stone, garment products, tungsten and tungsten products, electricity production, commercial tap water...

Thanks to positive changes in production, labor in the province's industrial enterprises in October increased slightly 0.2 percent compared to the previous month. However, in the first 10 months of 2023, labor in industrial enterprises still decreased by 8.1 percent over the same period.

This shows that industrial production is still facing difficulties, purchasing power is still weak, and the number of orders is decreasing.
