Thai Nguyen leaders aspire for San Francisco Chamber of Commerce (US) to act as a bridge for cooperation and investment

Continuing Thai Nguyen delegation’s program for promoting investment, trade, and international cooperation in the US, on the morning of November 15 (local time), the delegation from Thai Nguyen Province, led by Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, held a meeting, exchanged ideas, and established connections for investment cooperation with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, US.

Participating in the meeting were Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI); Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of Long An province; members of the delegations from Thai Nguyen and Long An provinces, along with representatives of some businesses participating in the delegation.

Mr. Rodney Fong, President of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce welcomed and worked with the delegations.

The meeting took place in a confident, open, and friendly atmosphere. The leaders of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce provided an overview of the investment attraction situation and the socio-economic development of the city of San Francisco, highlighting its achievements among the top cities in California.

They also spent considerable time sharing experiences in attracting investment from large multinational economic groups, experiences in developing services, trade, tourism, and urban management.

As part of the meeting, the organizing committee allocated ample time for the provinces of Thai Nguyen and Long An to present a video introducing the investment potentials and advantages.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Trinh Viet Hung expressed gratitude for the warm, trustworthy, and friendly reception and believed that the successes and valuable experiences shared during the meeting would be precious information and lessons for Thai Nguyen and Long An provinces.

He hoped that the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Rodney Fong personally would continue to act as a bridge for U.S. businesses to come and invest, collaborate in both provinces. He committed to close coordination and providing the most favorable conditions for U.S. investors.

On the same day, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh participated in the APEC CEO Summit and a roundtable conference connecting APEC businesses with provinces of Vietnam.
