Thai Nguyen delegation works with Embassy of Viet Nam in South Korea

On October 5, right after the investment promotion seminar with Korean investors, Mr. Dang Xuan Truong, Member of the Standing Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and the provincial delegation visited and worked with the Embassy of Viet Nam in South Korea.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Dang Xuan Truong expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy and Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung for their attention, facilitation, and coordination to successfully organize the investment promotion seminar of the Province in South Korea. He further desired to connect enterprises between South Korea and Thai Nguyen Province through the Vietnamese Embassy, building trust for Korean investors to come to Vietnam.

Mr. Dang Xuan Truong reaffirmed that Thai Nguyen offers a favorable investment environment with streamlined administrative procedures and continuously improved investment policy mechanisms. Especially the transportation infrastructure and industrial park infrastructure in the Province have received substantial investments, providing ample room for attracting significant projects. Recently, Thai Nguyen has attracted numerous foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, including Samsung Group from South Korea. However, the role and voice of the Embassy are crucial to enabling Thai Nguyen enterprises to participate in Samsung's production chain.

During the working session, the delegates discussed in-depth the connections and labor training orders of enterprises with local schools. Accordingly, Thai Nguyen can meet enterprises' demand for high-quality labor training. Additionally, the Province is actively promoting digital transformation, establishing information technology hubs, and building smart cities.

Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung congratulated the Province for successfully organizing the investment promotion seminar in South Korea this time. At the same time, he affirmed that Thai Nguyen is one of the leading localities in the North in attracting investment and expressed confidence that Thai Nguyen will continue to be a thriving destination for large investors, including Korean enterprises.

Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tung hopes that along with improving the investment environment, reforming administrative procedures, and upgrading infrastructure quality, the Province will maintain and enhance cooperative and friendly activities and partnerships in economic and social development with Korean localities and enterprises, including the Province that has been twinned with Thai Nguyen for 18 years, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The Ambassador also promised to actively engage with the South Korean government to facilitate the resolution of labor needs and labor export for Thai Nguyen Province if necessary.
