By the end of August 2023, total retail sales of goods and consumer revenue in the province reached about 44,378 billion VND, an increase of 30.5 percent over the same period in 2022.

The State economic sector reached over 1,686 billion VND, an increase of 11.3 percent over the same period. The non-state economic sector reached over 42,601 billion VND, an increase of 31.4 percent. The economic sector with foreign investment reached over 90 billion VND, an increase of 27.9 percent. By industry, retail revenue of goods reached over 31,583 billion VND, up 21.1 percent over the same period. Revenue from accommodation, food, and travel services reached nearly 7,635 billion VND, an increase of 109.4 percent. Other service revenue reached VND 5,160 billion, an increase of 20 percent.
With the above growth momentum, Thai Nguyen will certainly exceed the plan to achieve the retail value of goods and consumer service revenue of over 63,800 billion VND in 2023.
