OCOP Exhibition and Fair – Thai Nguyen 2022 kicks off

On the evening of June 16, at Vo Nguyen Giap Square (Thai Nguyen City), the Opening Ceremony of One Commune, One Product (OCOP) Exhibition and Fair - Thai Nguyen 2022 officially kicked off.

Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Pham Thai Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Vu Duy Hoang, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee for Propaganda and Education; Mrs. Mai Thi Thuy Nga, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of some provinces and cities… attended the opening ceremony.

The OCOP exhibition and fair - Thai Nguyen 2022 with the theme "Vietnamese goods conquer Vietnamese people" has 200 booths from 22 provinces and cities nationwide, enterprises under the Ministry of Defense.

Typical products of localities were brought to the fair such as: fruits of Son La province; coffee of Dak Lak province; avocados of Gia Lai province; seafood of Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong City; ceramics of Ninh Binh province; agarwood of Quang Ngai province; swallow’s nest and seafood of Khanh Hoa province; rice cakes, jelly and Phuc Sen knives, shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms of Cao Bang province; San Tuyet tea, cinnamon and anise essential oil of Yen Bai province...

At the Fair, Thai Nguyen province introduces special products certified OCOP standards such as Viet Cuong vermicelli, Hao Dat “tôm nõn” tea, Tien Dien dry noodle...

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Fair, Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: Through this event, Thai Nguyen wished to expand exchanges and promote achievements in socio-economic development, culture, trade promotion, investment and tourism with other provinces; at the same time, promote and introduce products of businesses, cooperatives... to help strengthen joint ventures and linkages, develop industry, agriculture and services; expanding the distribution network, selling products with provinces and cities nationwide, contributing to market development, promoting the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods".

The OCOP Exhibition and Fair – Thai Nguyen 2022 lasts until June 20, 2022.
