Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong works in Thai Nguyen province

Within the framework of a business trip to Thai Nguyen, recently, Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong had a working session with the leaders of the province. 

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, the Member of the Party Central Committee, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, the Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and members of Provincial Standing Committee worked with the delegation. 

At the working session, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed her pleasure to welcome the delegation to visit and work with the Party Committee, government, and people in Thai Nguyen province at the beginning days of the Lunar New Year. She quickly reported to the delegation on the outstanding socio-economic achievements that the province has got in the past year. Significantly, the province implemented the measures to flexibly prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to socio-economic development.

In detail, the economic growth rate gained 6.51 percent, two times higher than the average one nationwide. The state budget reached VND 18.000 billion, exceeding the assigned plan. The public investment capital disbursement passed 43 percent as planned. The provincial export value gained USD 28.845 billion, rising 17.94 percent compared to 2020, ranking 4th position nationwide. The digital transformation ranked 12 out of 63 provinces and cities, in which the digital government index ranked 3rd in the whole country. 

The Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong expressed his delight at the outstanding and impressive achievements that Thai Nguyen has got in the first year implementing the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels. He emphasized that Thai Nguyen should take all available advantages, turning difficulties and challenges into motivations and opportunities to accelerate the development process, soon turning Thai Nguyen into one of the most prosperous provinces in the North. 

On this occasion, he also sent new year greetings to party members and people of Thai Nguyen province.
