Recently, the National Assembly's Law Committee held the 4th plenary session to verify the Government's report on establishing wards of Pho Yen town and Pho Yen city, Thai Nguyen province.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh, A Member of the Party Central Committee; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, chaired the meeting session. On the Thai Nguyen bridge point, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee; leaders of some related Departments, branches, and Pho Yen town attended the meeting.
Deputy Minister of the Home Affairs Nguyen Duy Thang presented the Government's report on establishing wards in Pho Yen town and the establishment of Pho Yen city. He also said that establishing nine wards based on the original natural area and population of 9 communes of Pho Yen town is necessary to create an urban government model, improving the effectiveness of state management in the locality. At the same time, it is also consistent with the urban system development planning of Thai Nguyen province and Pho Yen town.
Besides, the establishment of Pho Yen city will contribute to the socio-economic development in the town and the province, meeting the aspirations of the People and authorities of Pho Yen town.
The delegates discussed and strongly agreed on the need to establish the wards and city. The delegates suggested that the Government and authority of Thai Nguyen province will give suitable orientations and comprehensive solutions after establishing Pho Yen city.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received comments from delegates. He thanked the attention and facilitation of the Committee on Laws of the National Assembly, ministries, and central branches in developing the dossier of the scheme.

The Provincial People's Committee Chairman emphasized that Thai Nguyen is determined to shorten the time to complete this goal by the end of this year at the latest.
