Launching Spring COVID-19 vaccination campaign

On February 3, the Health Center of Thai Nguyen City launched Spring vaccination campaign in 2022. Accordingly, 15 medical staff attended the campaign's first-day vaccination. 

In the morning, medical staff administered about 200 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, most of which were additional injections for people at higher risk from COVID-19 (with underlying diseases) or people who have had two doses for six months.

Thai Nguyen City has over 331 thousand people, of which more than 237,000 people are at the age of 18. After 23 rounds of vaccinations, the city has given the first injection to 98.7 percent, the second injection to 98.4% of people from 18 years old upwards. 

Over 32,000 children from 12 to 17 years old were given two injections, reaching 96 percent.  

Following the direction of the City People's Committee, the Center is one of the few units that launched the province's early Spring vaccination campaign. As planned, this campaign was deployed by districts, cities and towns in the province from January 28 to February 28, 2022.
