The functional branches of the province have advised the competent authorities to add five industrial clusters, including Thuong Dinh, Hanh Phuc - Xuan Phuong, Minh Duc 1, Tan Phu 1, Tan Phu 2, with a total area of 356 hectares to ensure land to attract investors and serve the industry and handicraft development.
They are located in Phu Binh district and Pho Yen town. The competent authorities also decided to remove five industrial clusters from the local planning, including Ban Dat, Quang Trung – Chi Son, Dai Khai, Phu Lac 1, Van Thuong, with 202 hectares. At the same time, some industrial clusters in the province also have been adjusted to decrease by 80 hectares.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade report, by January 2022, the province has 35 industrial clusters with a total planning area of about 1,335 hectares. Some industrial clusters have come into operation with occupancy rates of 40 to 60 percent, and the rest are in the process of completing legal procedures to select infrastructure construction units.
These adjustments will contribute to building Thai Nguyen province into one of the modern industrial economic centers of the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region by 2030.
