Presenting gifts for Lao and Cambodian students

On January 20, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Vu Duy Hoang, Head of Propaganda and Training Commission of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations visited and presented gifts for Lao and Cambodian students of Thai Nguyen College on traditional Tet of Viet Nam. 

Thai Nguyen College currently has more than 400 Lao and Cambodian students. Due to the complicated situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, during the 2022 Lunar New Year holiday, these students could not return home. It is the second consecutive year that they celebrate Tet at school.

Mr. Vu Duy Hoang inquired after their health, learning situation and wished they have a happy, warm Tet holiday, overcome their homesickness. He also hopes that they learn hard and become global citizens in the future.

To help international students experience Vietnamese traditional Tet activities, he presented VND10 million to Thai Nguyen College to take care of them. On this occasion, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association in the province also gave VND5 million to support students’ health care from Laos and Cambodia. The Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen City presented more than 400 gifts for international students, including Chung cake and spring rolls.
