Growing Bulgarian roses in association with ecotourism development

Recently, Thai Nguyen Department of Science and Technology organized an inspection of the progress of the project "Application of scientific and technological advances to build production models of some Bulgarian rose varieties in association with ecotourism development towards sustainability in Thai Nguyen province".

The project was implemented by Bac Nhung Science and Technology Research and Development Center from December 2020 to June 2023, in Ben Gieng hamlet, Son Cam commune, Thai Nguyen city. The project aims to apply scientific and technological advances to build a production model of some Bulgarian rose varieties in pots, creating new sources of varieties for peri-urban flower growers in association with ecotourism development in the province.

To date, the project manager has built a production model on a scale of 20,000 meters square; an internal road, irrigation system, water tank, and operator through the actual inspection. He researched and completed the propagation process by grafting and cutting methods; completed the care process for some newly  Bulgarian rose varieties. 

The Department of Science and Technology proposed that the project manager continue building the model associated with three tourist destinations, promoting the market for potted flowers, bringing high income to flower growers.
