Chairman of Provincial People Committee checks key projects progress

On January 10, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, the Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People Committee, checked the progress of some key works and projects in Thai Nguyen city. Some leaders of Departments, units, and the city leader went with him. 

He checked the progress of four projects, including two projects funded by loans from the World Bank (WB), including Dynamic Urban Integrated Development and Northern Mountainous Urban Program. 

According to the report, the Northern Mountainous Urban Program Project has now completed 11 out of 13 work items and put them into use. The remaining items are under construction, including upgrading Viet Bac road phase 2 and using excess capital to build other intersections at Thong Nhat and Viet Bac roads. These have completed a 60-95 percent volume, expected to be put into use from mid-2022.

To date, 2 out of 9 items of For the Dynamic Urban Integrated Development Project have been completed and put into use. The remaining items are being accelerated for site clearance to finish the set plan, expected to be completed in mid-June-2023. 

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the city's efforts in leading and directing construction contractors to implement projects to ensure their progress. He also required the city to be more drastic for land clearance to hand over the clean ground to the contractor. Besides, he required the construction unit to speed up projects and pay attention to labor safety, fire, and explosion prevention, striving to complete the works and projects according to the set plan.

Mr. Trinh Viet Hung also sent the best wishes to workers at the construction sites on the Tet holiday.
