Thai Nguyen establishes two COVID-19 treatment hospitals

Facing the new situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, on November 28, the Provincial People's Committee decided to establish the 2nd and 3rd COVID-19 treatment hospitals.

Accordingly, the No.2 COVID-19 treatment hospital is located at Pho Yen Town Medical Center (in Ba Hang ward, Pho Yen town). The hospital has 300 beds.

The hospital has the function of collecting, isolating, monitoring, and treating patients with mild symptoms or none at all, moderate symptoms. Besides, the unit will examine and treat patients with mild or moderate symptoms.

The No.3 COVID-19 treatment hospital is at Gang Thep Hospital (Trung Thanh Ward, Thai Nguyen City). The hospital has a full scale of 500 beds.

The hospital has the function of collecting, isolating, monitoring, and treating patients with mild or moderate symptoms, especially, moderate symptoms with severe disease. 

If the patient is severe, the two hospitals above are responsible for transferring the patient to Thai Nguyen Central Hospital or another hospital under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Health. 

Two hospitals officially operate from 9:00 AM on November 28 until they are allowed to dissolve by the competent authority.
