Thai Nguyen city has 49,500 negative samples in community

On November 7, leaders of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital informed: all 49,500 samples in the community were taken on November 4,5,6 in Thai Nguyen city showed negative results. Besides, the Hospital appointed from 100 to 120 medical staff per day to take samples in localities. 

This time, the Hospital tested for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR technique according to sample enrichment method (summing 100). Previously, at the beginning of September, the Hospital also applied the same method to test nearly 54,000 samples for teachers and students in the province at the beginning of the new school year.

From November 1 to November 3, in Thai Nguyen City, there were several positive cases with SARS-CoV-2 in Trung Thanh, Phu Xa, Tan Thinh, and Huong Son wards.

In the face of complicated and unpredictable developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, from November 4, Thai Nguyen City has conducted large-scale testing in high-risk wards such as Trung Thanh, Phu Xa, Tan Thinh, Phan Dinh Phung, Trung Vuong, Quang Trung, Huong Son and Tich Luong to detect cases early. 

After three days of testing in Thai Nguyen City, no more cases have been detected in the community. The positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 that arise later are all F1s, isolated in concentrated isolation.

With the support of 300 medical staff and students of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital, Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy, sampling was carried out as planned.

Sampling in the community in Thai Nguyen City was completed on November 7.
