Thai Nguyen tests over 198 thousand samples for SARS-CoV-2 detection

As of October 10, Thai Nguyen has passed 53 days without any new cases of COVID-19 in the community. Currently, Thai Nguyen is one of nine provinces and cities without new infection for 14 days.  

The Department of Health informed that the province currently has 25 F1 cases in isolation areas close to infections; 300 people returned from the outbreaks. The province reviewed and found 50 people related to the Viet Duc Friendship Hospital. To date, 14 people inside the province are being isolated according to regulations, and their test results are negative once for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The province has collected about 300 samples per day for rapid antigen tests in the community in the past week. To date, the number of community screening rapid test samples is over 30.2 thousand samples. The average number of PCR samples in a week is about 1,000 samples per day. So far, over 198,000 samples have been tested.
