The Management Board of the Provincial Industrial Zones representative informed that there had been 13 new projects put into production from the beginning of this year to now, bringing the total number of operating enterprises to 182 out of 262 projects.
In the nine first months, the total number of employees in industrial zones remained about 98 thousand, a decrease of nearly 9,000 employees compared to the first quarter. Because the factories still held overtime work, the industrial zones' growth rate did not decrease significantly, only about 0.1 - 0.2 percent. Therefore, other indicators are still basically guaranteed.
Specifically, the 9-month revenue of enterprises in industrial zones reached USD 22 billion (equal to VND 506 trillion); the growth rate reached 75.9 percent of the year plan, higher than the province's average; the export value of goods reached about USD 20.85 billion; the import value reached USD 12.98 billion; the units paid over VND 5.3 trillion to the state budget, equaling 71.2% of the year plan.
