On October 20, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh chaired a national online conference on goods and passenger transport and production restoration in industrial production areas to adapt safe, flexible, effective COVID-19 control. Mr. Dang Xuan Truong, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, attended and chaired at the Thai Nguyen bridge point.
At the conference, the Ministry of Transport representative gave a short report on implementing passenger transport activities in the road, railway, and aviation, to adopt safe, flexible, effective COVID-19 control. The Ministry of Planning and Investment representative quickly reported on the recovery of production and business in industrial zones. The Ministry of Health informed the progress of vaccination against COVID-19. In addition, representatives of some provinces and cities also shared the information on the actual situation, advantages, and difficulties in controlling and preventing the COVID-19 pandemic, implementing plans for good and passenger transport, production restoration, socio-economic development...
Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh noted and welcomed the proactive spirit of the units and localities in implementing Resolution No. 128. Many localities have also held conferences to meet and discuss solutions to solve difficulties for businesses. However, the Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that localities establish a steering committee and a consulting group to remove difficulties and create conditions for businesses to restore production. From the opinions of the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, the Government allows localities to continue maintaining flights and increasing flights based on the actual situation.
In parallel with restoring transport and production, localities need to strengthen COVID-19 prevention and control measures further, promoting the role of community COVID-19 prevention and control groups. If a locality has a large outbreak, it must be responsible for itself. Regarding vaccination, localities need to prioritize workers, laborers, drivers to ensure industrial production and transportation activities.
