On September 13, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Thai Nguyen University, attended the 232nd online training program evaluation session according to the AUN-QA standard.
ASEAN University Network (The AUN) is the leading universities network in the ASEAN. The establishment of the AUN in 1995 is an idea with the signing of its Charter by the Ministers responsible for higher education from six Member Countries and with the initial participation of eleven universities from six countries. The AUN-QA standard focuses on evaluating the conditions to ensure the training quality of the entire training program, creating a connection and mutual recognition of training quality between universities inside and outside the AUN network.
According to the plan, the AUN-QA assessors will check the self-assessment reports of the three branches of the University of Agriculture and Forestry, including Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, and Food Technology.
After 52 years of construction and development, the University has 8 training faculties, 7 functional departments and 1 office for management of advanced training programs, 2 institutes, and 11 centres. There have been 48 graduate courses with more than 50,000 engineers, bachelors and nearly 4000 masters and doctorates.
Participating in the AUN-QA quality assessment is a practical activity to promote and gradually improve the development of a quality assurance system, affirming the University’s commitment to society, employers about the training quality.
The assessment’s result will be announced on September 17.
