Thai Nguyen ranks top 10 localities with highest average labor income

Thai Nguyen belonged to 6 out of 63 localities with an average monthly income in enterprises in the 2016 - 2019 period of over VND 9.0 million.

According to the White Book on Vietnamese Businesses 2021, Ba Ria - Vung Tau gained the highest results nationwide with VND 11.5 million per month per person. Ho Chi Minh City ranked second with VND 10.8 million per month per person, and the third is Hanoi, with VND 10.5 million per month per person. 

The localities which have an average income higher than the national average income (VND 9.3 million per month per person) are Quang Ninh (VND 10.1 million VND per month per person), Dong Nai and Bac Ninh (VND 10 million per month per person), Binh Duong (VND 9.5 million per month per person) and Thai Nguyen (VND 9.4 million per month per person).

At the same time, 4 out of 63 localities gained the average monthly income below VND 5 million per month per person, including Dien Bien; Son La; Dak Lak; Bac Lieu.

Labor income is defined as the employee's total amount received from participating in the enterprises' production and business. An employee's income includes salaries, bonuses and allowances, other incomes.
