After more than six months of piloting digital transformation, building a smart commune, Sang Moc commune (Vo Nhai district) gradually changes positively. Schools, Health Stations, and hundreds of households could access the tools and utility services based on digital transformation.
Recently, Mr. Nguyen Van Lam, Head of Ban Chuong hamlet, only goes to the commune headquarters to attend meetings instead of regularly receiving documents as before.
All papers and documents are currently being transferred by the Sang Moc Portal integrated on the Provincial Portal. Using his smartphone, Mr. Lam can receive them.
Besides, Ban Chuong is also equipped with two smart loudspeakers that broadcast daily in 2-time frames at noon and afternoon, helping more than 70 households to access information.
Mr. Lam shared that the digital transformation helps locals access many services right on their smartphones. The smart loudspeakers were not highly influential during the last election but also contributed to preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic.

After more than six months, Sang Moc has many positive changes. The commune has deployed 8km of fiber optic transmission line from the Commune People's Committee to the Tien Son school site, providing free Internet for this school site and Phu Coc, Na Ka, Khuoi Meo hamlets.
For this school site, the sponsor has deployed a LAN system to serve students here. The Internet has also been installed at Sang Moc Primary and Secondary School to meet hundreds of students' needs.
Along with that, Vo Nhai District People's Committee invested in an online video conferencing system via the Internet at Sang Moc commune.
Donors have also completed five smart loudspeaker systems from the Commune People's Committee and the hamlets: Tien Son, Khuoi Uong, Na Lay, and Ban Chuong and equipped a new generation computer to operate them. This system has the advantage of being flexible in broadcasting news.
The Commune Health Station is equipped with a remote medical examination and treatment system (TeleHealth). Doctor Nong Van Anh, Head of Sang Moc Commune Health Station, said: We have successfully performed 2 cases connecting Telehealth with Hospital A.
Sang Moc is one of the most difficult communes in the province because of the fragmented highland terrain, limited farming skills, low living standards, and inadequate information technology infrastructure.
The commune has more than 700 households with over 2,800 people living scattered in 10 hamlets, including hamlets that do not have concrete roads to the central area. The vast, sparse terrain makes the work of telecommunications network coverage very difficult.
Therefore, the positive changes in the recent short time here show the strong effects of the Information and Communication sector and local authorities of the district and commune.
Mr. Trieu Trung Tien, Chairman of Sang Moc Commune People's Committee, said: Currently, the items of the second phase of the digital transformation have been completed. We coordinate with telecommunications businesses to deploy Internet connections for the hamlets: Na Lay, Ban Chuong, and Ban Chau and create personal accounts for people who need to log in and out of the National Public Service Portal.
At the same time, the commune focuses on propagating, raising locals' awareness, and guiding people's skills in applying digital technology, especially proficiently using public services provided on the portal of the commune.
