On April 19th, Ms Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, the Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation; Mr Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a meeting with the delegation of US-ASEAN Business Council led by Mr Vu Tu Thanh, Vice Executive Director of ASEAN region to discuss the cooperation opportunities between two sides.
At the meeting, the provincial leaders introduced the potentials, strengths and outstanding results on socio-economic development and hope that US-ASEAN Business Council will become the bridge linking Thai Nguyen enterprises and member investor of the Council. The provincial leaders also emphasized that the province always welcomes domestic and foreign investors, especially US investors in information technology, electronics, high-tech agriculture, education...
The Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee confirmed that the province would create the favorable conditions and investment incentives like other provinces accept the provinces approved the specific mechanism. On the other hand, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee committed that the province will train high-quality human resources to support investors. He hopes to sign a memorandum with the Council to strengthen the support to each other.
The representative of the US-ASEAN Business Council highly appreciated the strengths, results and support of the province in recent years. He also hopes that the province continues to build the transport infrastructure, creating the connection among regions, making proposals to the central ministries and branches to establish a regional import-export management office located in Thai Nguyen, which grants certificates in import and export activities.
The Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee thanked the sincere suggestions of the delegation’s members, and asked the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to research the establishment of a regional import-export management office. She hopes that the two sides will sign the cooperation memorandum at the end of March 2021.
