Thai Nguyen – An attractive destination

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) jointly organized a ceremony in Hanoi on April 15th to announce the Provincial Competitiveness Index 2020.

On April 14th, the Red Cross of Thai Nguyen province collaborated with the Provincial Hospital of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation to held the ceremony to deliver the sponsored hospital fees to 60 disabled pediatric patients with difficult circumstances.

The announcement ceremony of the 2020 Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) took place in the morning of April 14th in Hanoi. Accordingly, Thai Nguyen province ranked the 3rd out of 63 provinces and cities in the country with a total score of 46.471 points, under the 16 provinces with the highest scores (Quang Ninh and Dong Thap ranked the first and the second with 48.811 and 46.961 points). 6/8 dimensions of the province is in the group with the highest scores.   

On April 10th, Ms Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly delegation presided over the 9th meeting of the Provincial Party Standing Committee for 2020-2025 tenure to discuss and approve many important contents. Attending the meeting were Mr Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr Pham Hoang Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities.

That information was given by the representative of Central Retail Group (Thailand) at the meeting with Mr Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in the afternoon of 12th April. 

On 9th April, Mr. Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 12th “Crossing Heritage Lands of the Viet Bac Region” program presided over the meeting to discuss and approve the contents of this program. Representatives of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of 6 provinces in Viet Bac region and related departments and branches attended the meeting.
