Approving contents of the 12th "Crossing the Heritage Lands of the Viet Bac Region" tourism program

On 9th April, Mr. Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 12th “Crossing Heritage Lands of the Viet Bac Region” program presided over the meeting to discuss and approve the contents of this program. Representatives of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of 6 provinces in Viet Bac region and related departments and branches attended the meeting.

The tourism program of “Crossing the Heritage Lands of the Viet Bac Region” is an annual activity held alternatively among 6 provinces in the Viet Bac region including Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lang Son and Tuyen Quang. As planned, the program will take place from 21st to 23rd of April. The opening ceremony will be organized at the Provincial Center of Culture and Arts at 8 pm of 21st April. This event will be broadcasted on VTC, Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station and many other broadcasting stations in Viet Bac region. 

A series of interesting activities will be organized during the three-day program including a survey of cultural, historical and ecotourism destinations in Thai Nguyen province, a seminar on "Cooperation for tourism development among 6 provinces in Viet Bac region"; a photo exhibition to introduce and advertise tourism potential of 6 provinces in Viet Bac region; a professional art performance; a show presenting traditional costumes of Viet Bac’s people…

Discussing at the meeting, the delegates of 6 provinces highly agreed with the proposed plan, at the same time committed to actively participate in the program. In addition, the provinces also shared experiences in organization, contributed ideas in order to make the program more impressive, attracting a huge number of tourists.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Duong Van Luong required Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue to actively coordinate with related departments in Thai Nguyen and other provinces, press and media agencies to propagandize about the program; collect all comments from representatives of other provinces, departments and branches in Thai Nguyen to revise and complete the general draft; carefully survey tourism destinations to make reasonable tours. Along with that, members of the Organizing Committee had to accelerate the progress of all works as planned, he added.
