From the beginning of 2001, The foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises contributed to the export product value in the province and constantly increase in each period.
In particular, FDI export value accounted for 9.17% of the total export value in the whole province in the period 2006-2010. These results were 96.38% in the period 2011-2015 and 98% in the period 2018-2020. The increase in export value has significantly improved the budget collection from FDI sector (In 2020, the payment for the budget collection from FDI enterprises accounts for 34% of the total domestic collection in the province).
Currently, 98.6% of the FDI capital of the province focused on processing and manufacturing sectors with high technology compared to the average. FDI enterprises created jobs for over 100,000 laborers, which strongly affects the labor restructuring towards industrialization and modernization.
