Thai Nguyen Provincial Leaders work with Embassy of Austria and AT&S Group

On the morning of March 23rd, at the office of Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly delegation of Thai Nguyen province presided over the meeting with the delegation of Austrian Embassy and AT&S Group. Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate member of the Central Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Northern Power Service Company, departments and branches of Thai Nguyen province attended the meeting.

AT&S Group from Austria is a global leading unit in manufacturing the base of integrated microchips. To improve its production capability, AT&S Group tends to build a factory on manufacturing the base of integrated microchips at Yen Binh Industrial Zone (Pho Yen town). This project will cover 15 hectares with the initial capital of 13,000 billion VND. It is expected to be put into operation in 4th quarter of 2022.

At the meeting, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung informed the mechanisms and policies to support the project including constructing infrastructure outside the fence; tax incentives basing on the law's regulations. Besides, the province promised to coordinate with AT&S Group to open a human resource training program satisfying learners’ requirement. This program will train from 2,500 to 3,000 engineers with 100% of financial resource funded by Thai Nguyen Provincial People’ Committee.

In conclusion, Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Hai thanked AT&S Group for selecting Thai Nguyen as their destination. She introduced the province's potentials and strengths such as the location near Ha Noi capital, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh Port; the high-quality human resources. Thai Nguyen focuses on attracting strong and prestigious high-tech corporations like AT&S Group, she added. She emphasized that Thai Nguyen would create the most favorable conditions for the enterprise to carry out the project effectively and sustainably.
