On June 26, the Vietnam - Korea Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen province in association with KFHI (Korea Food For The International Hungers - Korea) and Samsung Electronis Vietnam Co., Ltd. held the inauguration ceremony of the Hope School in Go Moc village, Quyet Thang commune (Thai Nguyen city). The Hope School project is implemented under a cooperation agreement between Samsung Vietnam and KFHI and the Vietnam-South Korea Friendship Association in Thai Nguyen province, which were implemented from September 2017 at a cost of over VND 21 billion. After more than 7 months, construction items have been basically completed and can be put into use. The project has built a two-story classroom building with eight classrooms, a multipurpose kitchen and dining room, dormitory, fence, gate, and full of teaching facilities. According to the agreement, the Hope School Project will be the place to develop children's development program with extracurricular activities such as art, music, informatics, foreign languages, exchanges, health exams, gifts ... for about 300 poor and near poor pupils from primary to lower secondary schools in the western communes of Thai Nguyen city.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung acknowledged and appreciated the support from Samsung Electronis Vietnam Co., Ltd, KFHI; and wish to receive more help so that these activities contribute to the socio-economic development of the province. This is a significant humanitarian activity, contributing to the sustainable development more and more sustainable development between Vietnam – Korea.
