Awarded 20 Hessen scholarships to students

On 11-5, at the Thai Nguyen University, representatives of the Hessen Scholarship Fund of the Ministry of Science and Art of the Hessen State, the World University Support Organization of the Federal Republic of Germany (FR), Vietnam-Germany Friendship Association has awarded Hessen scholarships for the academic year 2017-2018 for universities and colleges students in the province. The scholarship worth over VND 116 million is directly awarded to 20 students studying at universities (equivalent to VND 5.8 / year per scholarship). On this occasion, the Fund also awarded 4 scholarships to students of Tan Trao University (Tuyen Quang province).

Eligibility for Hessen Scholarships are Students with good academic performance (average grades of 7.5 or above); disadvantage students in remote and deep-lying areas, children of ethnic minorities, social policy beneficiaries, especially female students. On this occasion, Thai Nguyen University have 10 excellent students receiving Hessen scholarships for the academic year 2017-2018.

From 1992 to present, the scholarship program of the Ministry of Science and Art of the State of Hessen, the World University Supporting Organization of Germany has awarded 150 to 300 scholarships to students overcoming difficult to study well in universities and colleges nationwide. These scholarships are an important source of encouragement in material and spirituality, contributing to sharing difficulties and encouraging students to study peacefully. From 2007 up to now, The Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Arts of Hessen signed an agreement to support the PhD program in Vietnam at Hessen. According to the plan, 1,020 graduate students will be supported with tuition fees.
