On March 10, a delegation of 28 diplomatic Department, international organizations and non-governmental organizations led by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations visited Thai Nguyen province. Mr. Vu Hong Bac, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Van Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Commission for Propaganda and Training, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations Agencies and leaders of the provincial departments welcomed the delegation.
With the theme of "2018 Friendship Spring Travel", special ambassadors of all nations and representatives of international organizations visited, experienced the Thai Nguyen tea culture space, learnt the specialty tea, Tan Cuong and visit the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups, Mr. Vu Hong Bac, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, briefed delegates on the socio-economic situation in Thai Nguyen province in 2017 and highlighted some outstanding achievements: economic growth rate reached 12.75%, nearly double the average growth rate of the whole country; Export value reached about USD 24 billion, accounting for 11.3 of the total value of export turnover of the country. The economic structure is shifting towards increasing the proportion of industry and services, and the agricultural sector has shifted towards commodity production. These outcomes have contributed positively to improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Together with these achievements, the people's external relations, cooperation, and investment attraction have been increasingly expanded, especially foreign affairs and international cooperation, which have created the motivation for the development process. and international integration of the province.
