In the afternoon of November 30, the delegation of the Foreign Press Association in Switzerland and Leichtenstein, headed by Jean Musy, Chairman of the Association, visited Thai Nguyen. Mr. Doan Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee and representatives of some departments, press agencies of the province met and worked with the delegation.
At the meeting, Jean Musy presented a brief overview of the Foreign Press Association in Switzerland and Leichtenstein (APES). Accordingly, APES was established in 1928 by professional journalists of different nationalities, working in media organizations with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Currently, APES has 120 member organizations. During the visit to Thai Nguyen, members of the delegation would like to learn about the socio-economic development of the province, especially in the field of investment attraction and production and processing of agricultural products in the locality. Therefore, information and databases were collected for professional work of the Association.
Mr. Doan Van Tuan briefed the delegation on the geographical position, potentials, strengths and socio-economic development of the province. He emphasized that Thai Nguyen has attracted many domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in the province, including Sungsung Group (Korea). He also introduced to the delegation about the agricultural products including green tea, black tea that are famous in many countries around the world.
On this occasion, APES Delegation visited some enterprises and manufacturing establishments in the province.
