The Provincial leaders welcomed the World Bank mission

In the afternoon of September 19, Mr. Vu Hong Bac, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee hosted a working session with the World Bank (WB) mission on the project "Integrated Development of Motive Urbanities - Subproject of Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province"

According to the plan, the project "Integrated Development of Motive Urbanities - Subproject of Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province" has 10 categories with total investment of 2,234 billion VND or 99,300 million USD, of which, World Bank (WB) loans was 1,800 billion VND, equivalent to 80 million USD; Counterpart fund was over 434 billion VND, equivalent to 19,300 million USD. The project is implemented in the Thai Nguyen city.

Speaking at the meeting, the chairman of the provincial People's Committee affirmed that if the project is implemented, it will contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen city and province. He asked the city should strengthen the close coordination with relevant departments, timely advise the provincial People's Committee to accelerate the project progress in the coming time; Establish working group for project implementation; Select qualified consultants to evaluate the project steps meeting the World Bank requirements. He also suggested that the World Bank assign experts to guide Thai Nguyen province to complete the contents of the project formulation, expertise and implementation.
