Delegation of Luang Prabang province visited and worked in Thai Nguyen

On September 26, the delegation of Luang Prabang province (Laos) led by Kham Khan Chan Tha Vi Suc, a member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary, Governor, visiting and working in Thai Nguyen. Mr. Vu Hong Bac, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee welcomed and worked with the delegation.

Mr. Vu Hong Bac introduced to the delegation about Thai Nguyen province, socio-economic situation in last 9 months. According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, up to now, the province has basically completed the target to budget revenue collection and strive to reach over 12,500 billion VND this year. The province has many policies to encourage economic development, business development and investment attraction, contributing to the growth of socio-economic targets in recent years. There are more than 6,000 enterprises in the province, of which 130 enterprises have foreign invested capital contributing to job creation and improving people's life. Thai Nguyen is also the center of education and training of the country, where trained many key staff for Laos. Currently, universities, colleges and vocational schools in the province have been training more than 2,000 Lao students, in which Luang Prabang province has over 100 students each year.

On behalf of the Luang Prabang delegation, Mr Kham Khan Chan Tha Vi Suc said: Thai Nguyen and Luang Prabang have had a traditional relationship for many years, two provinces have also signed a Developed cooperation agreement from 2010. Thai Nguyen province has got the achievements in recent years, he wishes to cooperate and support more, especially education development and human resources training for Luang Prabang. He also expects the branches and localities of the two provinces to further promote exchanges and twinning activities in order to deepen the friendship between the two countries and peoples.

It is known that in Luang Prabang, there are now dozens of Thai Nguyen enterprises invest, many of which cooperate in tourism development. Thai Nguyen province provides a part of the scholarship fund to nearly 100 Lao students each year, of which Luang Prabang has over 20 scholarships.

On this occasion, the delegation came to burn incense the President Ho Chi Minh memorial site and visited the historic revolutionary ATK Dinh Hoa.
