Thai Nguyen will represent Vietnam attending The 14th China - ASEAN Expo

In the morning of May 15, the provincial People's Committee held a working session with the delegation of the Trade Promotion Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to approve the policy and content of the program on Provincial trade promotion at The 14th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO 2017). Mr. Nhu Van Tam, Commissioner of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

The 14th China - ASEAN Expo will take place at the International Exhibition Center, Nanjing, Guangxi, China in September. This year, Thai Nguyen was selected as the representative of Vietnam to attend the National stalls with the topic "Nice City". At the conference, representatives of the Trade Promotion Department introduced key contents, including: an overview of the 14th Trade Fair; Content, the meaning of The Vietnamese exhibition as well as proposed design options, display... The Trade Promotion Department will support the province design stage, construction “beautiful city” stall. The cost of performing arts, promotional Products materials and some related contents with the expected support is 900 million. At the conference, many ideas proposed to choose Thai Nguyen tea is the main product to promote image and trade links between Vietnam and other countries.

 

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nhu Van Tam acknowledged the active support from the Trade Promotion Department creating favorable condition for the province participating in promoting the image at the fair. In the coming time, the province will direct the departments to build the detailed plan on the basis of following the guidance of the Department of Trade Promotion as well as requesting the departments and sectors to actively select the industry and typical businesses to attend and propose content and suitable images for each exhibition area, showing the characteristics of tourism culture and Provincial Potential economic development.

 

It is known that the China-ASEAN Expo began in 2004 and is one of the three largest annual events in China chaired by the Governments of ASEAN countries and China, with the scale of 2,500 enterprises and 5,000 stalls/ Fair. The main objective is to strengthen trade and investment cooperation between ASEAN countries and China and promote ASEAN-China free trade area.
