On March 25 morning, the provincial People's Committee held a meeting and praised Ha Thai Tea Joint Stock Company, the winner of the Silver Award for Tea Quality at the International Tea Competition 2016 held in Canada. Attending the meeting were: Mr. Vu Hong Bac, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Mr. Doan Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee; Leaders of related departments and agencies, representatives of a number of cooperatives, enterprises producing and processing tea in the province.
Ha Thai Tea Joint Stock Company (Ha Thuong Commune, Dai Tu District) is a well-known enterprise for tea production, processing and import-export in and outside the province. Each year the company consumes about 600 tons of tea at more than 40 grade I agents, supermarkets in the country and exports to some countries as Korea, China, India, Russia, Sri Lanka... In September, 2016, the company has sent two tea samples to Canada to compete in the international tea competition and have won high prize. The company's shrimp tea was honored to Silver Award. This achievement has opened opportunities, prospects and motivation for tea enterprises in the province in particular and the whole country in general to expand the market to North America, which is considered difficult to import and consume of tea.
At the meeting, Mr Vu Hong Bac expressed his joy for the achievement of the company. He also required that state management agencies, sectoral levels as well as concerned organizations and individuals pay more attention to tea enterprises and cooperatives, in order to raise the position of tea plants, bring Thai Nguyen tea brand into the world. In the coming time, the province will have a specific plan and appropriate budget for trade promotion activities, introduction of tea products and support enterprises to build concentrated raw material areas, step by step restrict the small scale production, value chain development in the production and consumption of safe tea...
