Cooperation, investment promotion with Swedish companies

On February 20, 2017, Thai Nguyen - Ostergotland (Sweden) cooperation, trade and investment promotion conference took place under the chairmanship of Mr. Nhu Van Tam, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman provincial People's Committee. Attending the conference were Mrs. Elisabeth Nilsson, Ostergotland Governor, and representatives of agencies, unions and enterprises of the two provinces.

At the conference, Mr. Nhu Van Tam emphasized that Thai Nguyen always considered investment cooperation is an important task for economic - local society development, so it should be very concerned and Thai Nguyen will create favorable conditions to attract investment. In recent years, the province has cooperated closely with foreign diplomatic agencies, corporations, companies, localities around the world to improve relations, promote foreign investment in the province. He also expressed his wishes for the two provinces to strengthen sharing, discussing and learning from each other to jointly open up investment opportunities for cooperation in the coming period.

Mrs. Elisabeth Nilsson thanked for the respectfully welcome of the province and affirmed that both provinces have great potential in cooperation for development, including especially the fields in which Sweden has advantages such as environment, climate change, green technology, urban transport, health, education ... She also expressed her desire of this meeting is to cooperate with Thai Nguyen investors on fields as renewable energy, sustainable environmental protection, re-use and production of energy from municipal waste, response to climate change ...

At the conference, in the presence of leaders of the two provinces, Thai Nguyen Business Association signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Cleantech Ostergotland company on clean technology development.
